Lessons from the Edge of the Carpet : Vera was smart when she chose not to add to much bling to this outfit. Normally, we would shun a frock with so much going on up top and down below. For a less intimate gathering, a prom  or homecoming perhaps, we would have wished for a simple, straight skirt or less ruffles on the bodice.
