How
to Optimize Your Fragrance

Secret to a Lasting Scent
You will need
to experiment to find what the right combination is for
you, but the best way to make your fragrance last all
day is by layering. Be sure to choose the same scent for
all your bathing products for the best results. To start
out try the following combinations:
bubble bath,
scented powder and scented deodorant
OR
shower/bath gel, body lotion and after bath friction
Then apply
toilet water, cologne or perfume and you will find that
your fragrances will last much longer.
Bath Soap. Basic to any bathing or showering
experience should be a finely milled fragrant cake or
bar of bath soap. Choose your soap and all the other
products you select from the list below in a single
fragrance note, so that your scents don't have to
compete for attention on your skin.
Bath Oil. Liquid, spray or capsule, bath oils are
an excellent choice in the winter months when skin has a
tendency toward dryness. The rich softening emollients
will soothe your skin leaving it silky, supple and
scented.
Bath Salts and crystals are ideal for oily skin
that needs less emollient action. These glittering
powders will bathe both you and the bathroom with
fragrance.
Milk Baths are a good choice for skin that is
easily irritated or chafed. The milk component is
especially effective in combating minor problems of this
kind, and the fragrance of course will help keep you
sweet smelling all day long.
Bubble Bath is a playful bathing choice. Perfumed
bubble baths combines necessity with pleasure and does
away with the need for soap. Pour it in , run the tap,
and let those bubbles just keep on rising.
Bath and Shower Gels. Sometimes called gelée,
you'll often find this in a travel size tube. It can be
used either as a bubble bath under a running tap or as a
liquid when applied directly to a cloth, sponge or
loofah.
After Bath Friction. Tthe high alcohol content of
this product makes it a good choice for oily skin It's
great in hot weather and helps keep you cool no matter
how hot it is
Body Lotion and Body Cream. Great all over
moisturizing treatment, use after bathing or showering
for best results to help lock moisture in Be generous.
Slather on elbows feet hands
Bath Powder. A fine dusting of a scented powder
is a perfect warm weather fragrance finish use to absorb
excess moisture and to guard against chafing and wetness
Scented Deodorant Delicately scented body
protection will check perspiration and keep you feeling
daisy fresh for hours.
Application of Perfume:
Even the most potent of perfumes won't last all day, so
you need to reapply it periodically. You might want to
carry a travel sized applicator in your purse. Keep in
mind, that perfume is most affective when applied with
an atomizer, which diffuses the alcohol and the
fragrance so it clings better to your skin Toilet water
and cologne can be sprayed, splashed on right after a
shower or bath, while the skin is still damp. You can
also splash a few drops onto your comb or spray it onto
the lining of a coat or the hem of a skirt.
